Preventable Tragedy: Florida Toddler Dies in Hot Car After Parents' Neglect.

A 2-year-old girl in Florida died after being left in a hot car for 14 hours by her parents, who have been arrested and charged with child neglect, drug possession, and drug paraphernalia. The child's temperature was 107 degrees when found, and the parents initially claimed to have found her unresponsive inside the home. The couple had allegedly left the child in the car and went inside to sleep, only realizing the child was still in the car the next afternoon. The 4-year-old sibling has been placed in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.
