Prison Nurse Receives 30-Year Sentence for Inmate Sexual Assault

A former nurse at Oregon's Coffee Creek Correctional Facility has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexually assaulting female inmates from 2010 to 2017. Tony Klein, who was found guilty on 17 counts of depriving his victims of their constitutional rights and four counts of perjury, preyed on his victims by using his position of authority. Prosecutors had asked for a 41-year sentence, and seventeen women testified against Klein at trial. Klein's defense team maintains his innocence and plans to appeal the convictions.
