Prominent Lawyer Sentenced to Prison for Election Fraud and Voter Fraud

A Shaker Heights attorney, James Saunders, has been sentenced to three years in prison and fined $10,000 for illegally voting in the last two general elections. The judge called Saunders' actions "purposeful, intentional, and cavalier" and stated that he violated a fundamental right of the country. Saunders, who had donated to former President Donald Trump's campaign, made multiple small donations to Trump's campaign and super PACs. This case is the only example of someone blatantly violating Ohio's voting laws, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor. Saunders was found guilty of two felony counts of election fraud and was ordered to repay the public defenders for their representation.
