Students foil attempted kidnapping at Maryland bus stop

A 30-year-old man, identified as Jamaal Germany, was arrested by Montgomery County police for attempting to kidnap a middle school student waiting for the school bus. Other students intervened and the victim was able to break free. The students reported the incident to staff at Redland Middle School, and detectives arrested Germany later that day on attempted kidnapping and second-degree assault charges. Police are asking any other possible victims to come forward and there will be an increased police presence at several schools in the area over the next few days.
