Teenage Son of Homeless Advocate Charged with Murder of Homeless Man in Pottstown

A 15-year-old boy, whose father is the executive director of a homeless advocacy agency, has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a homeless man in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The shooting may be related to an alleged sexual assault of the teenager's girlfriend four months prior. Witnesses reported that the teenager sought out the victim, argued with him, and then shot him in the face at close range. The teenager dropped the firearm and was detained by bystanders until the police arrived. The accused's father's firearm was recovered at the scene. The teenager has been charged as an adult and is being held without bail.
