Texas man exonerated for murder now accused of another fatal shooting.

Lydell Grant, who was declared innocent in 2021 after serving seven years in prison for a fatal stabbing, has been charged with murder in the shooting of a fellow motorist in Houston. Grant was taken into custody on Friday and remains jailed on $1 million bond. The Innocence Project of Texas, which worked to get Grant exonerated, said it couldn't comment on the specifics of the incident, but stands behind his previous exoneration based on DNA evidence and the confession of the real perpetrator of the crime.
