"Texas Mass Shooting: Gun Control Debate Intensifies Amidst Tragic Loss of Life"
TL;DR
A man whose wife and son died in Friday’s mass shooting in Cleveland, Texas, has revealed how the nine-year-old boy died running to help his mother. In total, five victims were killed in the attack which began when the family asked their neighbour Francisco Oropesa if he could stop firing his gun because their baby was trying to sleep. More than three days on, Mr Oropesa, 38, is still on the run. Meanwhile, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has been forced to walk back his comments calling the victims “illegal immigrants”.
