Tragic DUI Crash Claims Child's Life in Martinez

A five-year-old child died in a car crash on westbound Highway 4 near Martinez, California. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which collided with a tree. The driver and an 11-year-old passenger sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital. The five-year-old was not properly restrained and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and manslaughter. The incident is under investigation.
