Tragic Shooting Claims Woman's Life Near Saline Assisted Living Center

A woman was shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend in a parking lot near an assisted living facility in Saline, Michigan. The victim, identified as 40-year-old Amber Jo Thomas, was an employee at the Linden Square Assisted Living Center. Another male acquaintance was also injured in the shooting but is in stable condition. The suspect fled the scene but was later apprehended after crashing into another vehicle. The incident prompted lockdowns of nearby buildings, which have since been lifted.
