Unsolved Shooting on S Train in Queens Leaves Man Injured

A man was shot in the thigh on a Queens subway train by a suspect who demanded his wallet as the train approached the 116th Street station. The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition, and the suspect fled the scene. Police are investigating the incident, which occurred just an hour after a 15-year-old was stabbed in the hip during a robbery on the L train in Canarsie, Brooklyn.
