US Marshals Service 'Violent' Felon Injured in Officer-Involved Shooting near Colorado Springs Airport

The Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating a shooting involving their officers and a violent felon wanted by the US Marshals Service and Colorado State Parole. Tactical units were called in to detain the suspect, who attempted to flee and then pulled out a handgun. At least one officer fired at the suspect, who was subsequently taken to a hospital. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has taken over the investigation.
