Utah Children's Book Author Charged with Husband's Murder

Kouri Richins, a Utah mother who wrote a children's book on coping with grief after her husband's death, has been charged with his murder. She is accused of poisoning him with a lethal dose of fentanyl after serving him a celebratory Moscow Mule. Richins was taken into custody on charges of aggravated murder and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Her husband, Eric Richins, died at their Kamas home in March 2022. Richins published a book titled "Are You With Me?" a year after her husband's death to "create peace and comfort for children who have lost a loved one."
