Uvalde Police Admit Fear of AR-15 Delayed Response to School Shooter

Police officers who failed to enter the Uvalde school during the massacre admitted to being too scared of the shooter's AR-15 "battle rifle," according to a new investigation. Officers repeatedly admitted they feared being overpowered by the weapon, even though several were seen with similar rifles and shields. Nineteen students and two teachers died that day. The doomed police response sparked mass outrage. Relatives of some of the dead pupils told the paper that hundreds of cops feeling overpowered by one barricaded teen is proof that AR-15-style weapons need to be regulated.
