Wife of Worcester cop on the run as advocacy background surfaces

Karen Solomon, 58, wife of Kurt Solomon, a 57-year Worcester Police Department veteran, is being sought for questioning in connection with his death after police found his body early Tuesday following a medical emergency call. Newly released surveillance shows her calmly walking away from their Worcester home about 10 minutes after the call, triggering a multi-agency manhunt with authorities warning she is presumed armed. Solomon is an award-winning advocate for officer mental health through the nonprofit First H.E.L.P. and a public author, but as of Thursday no charges have been filed and the cause of death has not yet been released.
