Winfield family tragedy: father fatally shoots wife and four children before taking his own life

In Windfield, Kansas, 53-year-old Ronald H. Williams called 911 to confess that he had killed his wife, Kelly L. George, and their four children—Carol A. Williams (9), Ronald H. Williams Jr. (7), Sarah K. Williams (5), and Kelly M. McGee Williams (3)—and planned to kill himself. Police, who had previously responded to reports of aggressive behavior at the home, battled a two-hour standoff with SWAT before breaching the residence and recovering the six bodies. Williams was a registered sex offender with past indecent-liberties with a child convictions from 1998. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation joined the probe to determine a motive.
