Winston-Salem teen linked to livestreamed San Diego mosque attack indicted

A 17-year-old Winston-Salem student, Sarah Lindsey Santiago, has been indicted in connection with the San Diego Islamic Center shooting, charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. Prosecutors allege she planned to livestream the attack, publicly distribute the recording, and release the attackers’ manifesto. Three people were killed and the two gunmen died by self-inflicted gunshot wounds; a security guard who helped shield others during the incident is being hailed as a hero.
