Wisconsin Deputy Killed in DUI Suspect Shooting

A suspected drunk driver shot and killed a Wisconsin sheriff's deputy during a traffic stop before running into nearby woods and killing himself. The deputy, Kaitie Leising, was shot after the suspect, Jeremiah Johnson, drew a handgun during a conversation about field sobriety tests. Leising discharged her weapon three times, but none of the rounds hit Johnson before he fled. Leising was pronounced dead at a hospital, and Johnson was found dead an hour later in the woods.
