"Massive Cyber Attacks Compromise Driver's License Data in Louisiana and Oregon"

Louisiana's Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) is one of the many government entities, major businesses, and organizations affected by the MOVEit data breach. The OMV believes that all Louisiana residents with a state-issued driver's license, ID, or car registration have likely had their personal information exposed to cyber attackers, including their name, address, social security number, birthdate, height, eye color, driver's license number, vehicle registration information, and handicap placard information. The state is urging residents to take immediate steps to safeguard their identity, including freezing their credit, changing all passwords, protecting their tax refund and returns with the IRS, checking their social security benefits, and reporting suspected identity theft.
