"Congressional Demands for Ivy League Presidents' Resignation Over Antisemitism Handling"

Reps. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) have called for the immediate firing of the presidents of Harvard, MIT, and the University of Pennsylvania over their handling of antisemitism on campus. In a bipartisan letter signed by 72 colleagues, the lawmakers accused the university leaders of enabling the dehumanization of Jewish people and demanded an action plan to protect Jewish and Israeli students and faculty. The demand comes after the university presidents faced criticism for likening antisemitic threats to free speech and evading questions about violent anti-Jewish demonstrations on their campuses. Stefanik also announced a formal congressional investigation into the three universities.
