Judge tosses DOJ’s Harvard antisemitism suit as too isolated to prove bias
A Massachusetts federal judge (Richard G. Stearns) dismissed the Justice Department’s lawsuit accusing Harvard of failing to protect Jewish and Israeli students from harassment, saying the cited 2023–24 incidents and three March 2025 events were too isolated to establish a Title VI violation and that the DOJ hadn’t shown ongoing noncompliance since a June 2025 compliance notice. The DOJ said it is considering next steps, Harvard did not comment, and advocacy groups noted that antisemitism remains an issue on campus amid the broader political pressure campaign against the university.
