Dennis Barnes, a high school student in Louisiana, has received over $9m in scholarship offers from 125 colleges and universities, with hopes of collecting over $10m. Barnes has maintained a cumulative GPA of 4.98 and is waiting on responses from the 200 colleges he applied to. Normandie Cormier, who received almost $9m in scholarship offers in 2019, said Barnes is an example of their generation's strong interest in advanced education. Barnes plans to pursue a dual degree in computer science and criminal justice and advises university applicants to plan ahead and network with collegiate partners.
