Texas high school postpones graduation due to low number of eligible seniors.

Marlin High School in Texas postponed its graduation ceremony until June after only five of the 33 seniors in the traditional program met the requirements to get a diploma. The school district's audit did not include seniors in the alternative education program. School officials worked with students to help an additional 12 students resolve missing credits and other issues, but the district opted to call off the ceremony until more than those 17 students can graduate. The delay has caused frustration among students and parents, who dispute that the school made adequate efforts to warn them.
