Air Quality Advisories and Alerts Issued Across New York and Wisconsin Regions

The New York State Department of Health and Environmental Conservation has issued an air quality advisory for most of the state, except for Buffalo, due to high concentrations of fine particulate material caused by over 100 active wildfires in Quebec. The advisory will take effect on Tuesday and will affect almost every population center in the state. The advisory recommends going indoors to reduce exposure, especially for young children and older people who may be at higher risk.
