California's electric truck mandate gets green light from Biden administration.

The EPA has approved California's authority to require manufacturers to increase the sales of electric trucks in the state. California will require an increasing percentage of trucks sold in the state to be electric from 2024 through 2035. New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Oregon, Washington, and Vermont have also adopted California's truck standards. The California rule requires different standards for different classes of truck, with 55% of trucks in classes 2b through 3 sold in the participating states needing to be electric in 2035, as will 75% of trucks in classes 4 through 8 and 40% of truck tractors.
