A modest plume of Canadian wildfire smoke is expected to sweep across the tristate region Friday night, with another potentially arriving Sunday morning. Officials do not predict that the air quality index (AQI) will return to hazardous levels, but they are urging people to monitor symptoms among children and people with underlying conditions. The air clears on Saturday, and then another plume is forecasted to arrive early Sunday morning. The tristate area sits on the edge of the protective dome, so some wisps may occasionally crossover.
