Tragic Mass Stranding Event Claims Lives of 8 Dolphins in Sea Isle City, NJ

Eight dolphins were found stranded at a beach in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, and despite efforts by nearby beachgoers and residents to rescue them, all eight dolphins have died. Two of the dolphins died on the beach while the other six were euthanized due to their poor condition. This is the first time the Marine Mammal Stranding Center has seen a mass stranding of dolphins this large. Necropsies will be performed to determine the cause of death.
