"Continued Influx: Another Migrant Bus Reaches Los Angeles from Texas"

A 12th bus carrying 42 asylum seekers, including 21 children, arrived in Los Angeles from Texas. The migrants, consisting of 11 families from various countries, received medical attention, legal aid, and assistance in reuniting with family members in Southern California. The L.A. City Council passed two motions for legal action against Texas and Governor Greg Abbott, alleging violations of criminal laws such as kidnapping and human trafficking. Abbott's office argued that the migrants arrived voluntarily and were provided with ample food and water. The busing of migrants began in April 2022, with Abbott directing the Texas Division of Emergency Management to charter buses to transport migrants to Washington, D.C.
