Fifth Texas Migrant Bus Reaches Los Angeles

A fifth group of migrants, including 18 minors, arrived in Los Angeles from Brownsville, Texas, as part of Texas Governor Greg Abbott's efforts to relocate migrants to sanctuary cities. The migrants were taken to Cathedral High School for evaluation and provided with necessary resources. This is the fifth bus of migrants to arrive in Los Angeles in the past month, with previous relocations occurring over the Independence Day weekend. Abbott has stated that Texas will continue to send migrants to these cities until the federal government addresses the immigration crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.
