Six of the 10 Americans released in a prisoner swap with Venezuela have landed in Texas, expressing gratitude and relief to be back on American soil. Savoi Wright quoted Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, saying, "Free at last, free at last … Thank God Almighty, free at last." Eyvin Hernandez, who was wrongfully detained, described prison as the most difficult thing he had ever been through and expressed gratitude to his family, friends, and President Biden. The circumstances surrounding their arrests remain unclear, and all six Americans are undergoing medical evaluations. As part of the deal, Venezuela has also released a high-profile member of the opposition party and suspended arrest warrants for other opponents to President Maduro.
