The United States shot down a Turkish drone near Hasakah, Syria, after it was deemed a potential threat to US forces. The incident occurred as Turkey targeted Kurdish forces in response to a suicide bombing in Ankara claimed by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). US troops observed drones conducting raids near their location, and despite multiple calls to Ankara's military, a Turkish drone flew towards American forces.
