Christian Glass' Family Awarded $19 Million Settlement.

The family of Christian Glass, a 22-year-old man who was fatally shot by a sheriff's deputy during a mental health crisis, will receive a $19 million settlement from state and local agencies. The settlement is one of the largest civil rights settlements in the US. Two deputies were indicted in connection to the shooting and were fired. Changes will be implemented to how police officers are trained for similar situations, and Clear Creek County will dedicate a park to Mr. Glass and create a dedicated crisis response team.
