"Unveiling the Full Picture: New Police Videos Expose Violent Encounter with North Carolina Woman"

A police officer in North Carolina has been suspended for 40 hours after new video footage showed him repeatedly punching a Black woman during an arrest. The internal affairs investigation found that Officer Vincent Pistone had used excessive force during the November 13th confrontation. The footage revealed that the woman had struck an officer in the face before he responded by hitting her back and knocking her off her feet. Pistone, along with four other officers, was seen holding the woman down while he repeatedly struck her. The investigation determined that all but the first three blows were excessive. The officer who initially punched the woman in the face was deemed justified in doing so as he had been struck twice. The woman and a male companion were both arrested but all charges were later dropped.
