Family of Tyre Nichols files $550M civil lawsuit against Memphis and police over his death

The mother of Tyre Nichols has filed a $550 million civil lawsuit against the city of Memphis and members of the police department over his death following a violent traffic stop in January. The lawsuit includes allegations of excessive force and "deliberate indifference to serious medical needs," and claims that the police department failed to properly train its officers.
