Rudy Giuliani Faces Multiple Defamation Lawsuits from Georgia Election Workers

Rudy Giuliani has been ordered by a federal jury to pay a total of $148 million in damages to two Black election workers, Ruby Freeman and Wandrea "Shaye" Moss, for defaming them with false accusations of election rigging in Georgia. The jury awarded Freeman over $16 million and Moss nearly $17 million for defamation, along with $20 million each for emotional distress. Giuliani will also have to pay an additional $75 million in punitive damages. The women testified that Giuliani's lies led to racist harassment and death threats, impacting their lives. Giuliani plans to appeal the ruling, but Freeman and Moss have filed a new lawsuit seeking further damages and an injunction to stop Giuliani from making defamatory statements.
