"First Trump Co-Defendant Pleads Guilty in Georgia Election Interference Case"

Scott Hall, an Atlanta bail bondsman and one of former President Donald Trump's co-defendants in the Georgia 2020 election interference case, has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of conspiracy to commit intentional interference with performing election duties. Hall is the first defendant to take a plea deal in the case. Under the agreement, he will receive five years probation, a $5,000 fine, 200 hours of community service, and is prohibited from administering elections again. Hall must also testify in further proceedings and write a letter of apology to the citizens of Georgia. While Hall is a minor figure in the alleged plot, the plea deal is seen as a win for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis as she pursues her racketeering case against Trump.
