Clackamas County man fires on tree crews, triggers drone-backed standoff and arrest

In unincorporated Oregon City, a 53-year-old man allegedly fired about 20 rounds at tree workers cutting near his home, prompting deputies to surround the property with drones during a brief standoff. He blocked the driveway with a tractor and fired at deputies’ drones; no injuries were reported. He was treated at the scene and hospitalized for evaluation, and faces charges including second-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted assault, reckless endangering, unlawful use of a weapon, and menacing.
