ICE detains Oregon chiropractor at Beaverton preschool
TL;DR
A 38-year-old Iranian man was arrested by ICE outside his child's preschool in Beaverton, Oregon, during morning dropoff, marking the first confirmed immigration enforcement incident at an Oregon school amid recent policy changes. The man, a chiropractor who overstayed his visa after entering lawfully in 2017, was detained despite his family's legal efforts for a green card. The incident has caused community distress and raised questions about immigration enforcement policies near schools.
