Memorial Day Events and Activities in Los Angeles and Southern California
TL;DR
On Memorial Day, hundreds of sailors from the USS Carl Vinson participated in a Fleet Week event on L.A.'s 6th Street Bridge, which included performances, speeches, and a moment of silence for fallen service members. The event, part of the Navy's public outreach, saw sailors enjoying food trucks and exploring the city, though attendance was lower than expected. The bridge, a recently reopened landmark, has faced issues like copper wire theft but continues to host community events.
