Michigan woman charged with fatal hit-and-run of MSU student held on $1M bond

Tubtim “Sue” Howson, a dual citizen of the U.S. and Thailand, has been charged with failure to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in death after fatally striking Michigan State University student Benjamin Kable on Jan. 1 in Oakland County. Howson fled to Thailand to avoid facing charges, but was brought back to the U.S. in February and is being held on a $1 million bond. She is also facing a federal charge of interstate flight to avoid prosecution.
