Oshkosh fire at Players Pizza and Pub: electrical fault suspected in HVAC wall
TL;DR
A blaze gutted Players Pizza and Pub in Oshkosh, with firefighters suspecting an electrical fault in a wall tied to the building’s HVAC system; insurance inspectors will confirm. Major damage hit the roof and kitchen, about 100,000 gallons of water were pumped from the basement, and memorabilia was saved. The owners plan to rebuild but have no timeline due to local contractor shortages after a recent tornado, and nearby restaurants have offered temporary work to their employees while recovery proceeds.
