Remains Found Along Rio Chiquito Road Under Investigation Near Taos

New Mexico State Police are investigating human remains found off Rio Chiquito Road (Forest Road 437) that extend into the Carson National Forest near Taos. Officials have not identified the remains or determined the cause of death, and they have not confirmed a link to the disappearance of Melissa Casias, a LANL employee last seen in Taos on June 26 of last year; the Office of the Medical Investigator is working to positively identify the remains as the investigation continues.
