Elon Musk praises DeSantis while Twitter event flops.
TL;DR
Elon Musk claimed Ron DeSantis' glitchy presidential announcement on Twitter Spaces was "the top story on Earth" on Wednesday, but the death of Tina Turner received far more coverage in global media. Most major newspapers did not feature DeSantis on their front pages, and Google Trends showed little interest in his announcement. While DeSantis may have had a large audience on Twitter Spaces, it is unlikely that it was the biggest story in the world on the day of Turner's death.
