Rising Concerns: Another Drill Sergeant Found Dead at Fort Jackson

A second drill sergeant, Staff Sgt. Zachary L. Melton, has been found dead at Fort Jackson in South Carolina within eight days. Melton, who was unresponsive inside his vehicle, was discovered after failing to report for work. The cause of death is currently unknown, and the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division is investigating. This follows the recent death of Staff Sgt. Allen Burtram on the base, which is also under investigation.
