Devastating Tornado Strikes Prowers County and Kills Livestock

A tornado touched down in Prowers County, destroying a house and multiple structures on a ranch. Thankfully, a family survived after taking shelter in their basement. No injuries were reported, but several vehicles and cows were killed. Power outages and flooding were also reported in the area. The National Weather Service will assess the damage and determine the tornado's rating.
