Back-to-Back Tornadoes Hit Virginia and Florida, Leaving Destruction in Their Wake

Three tornadoes hit Florida and Virginia causing serious damage, with two of them having winds of 130 mph or greater. The twisters were accompanied by a strong low-pressure system that worked its way up the East Coast over the weekend. The tornadoes caused damage to homes and vehicles, and even prompted the city of Virginia Beach to declare a local state of emergency. Fortunately, quieter weather is expected in the days ahead.
