Midwest States Hit by Multiple Tornadoes in Weekend Storms

The National Weather Service confirmed that two additional tornadoes touched down in Indiana on Friday night, bringing the total to 16 tornadoes across central Indiana. The severe weather destroyed several homes and left thousands of Hoosiers without power. The strongest tornado was recorded in Sullivan County, where an EF3 tornado with maximum winds of 155 miles per hour barreled through the county, resulting in three confirmed deaths. Several other counties also saw tornadoes, causing significant damage and making travel and communication difficult.
