TL;DR
Downtown Atlanta experienced flash flooding due to heavy rains from severe thunderstorms, causing the closure of attractions such as the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola. Vehicles were washed away, and visitors were evacuated. The flooding was unrelated to the safety of the exhibits and animals, and cleanup efforts are underway. The storm threat is expected to diminish by Thursday evening, with the possibility of isolated storms on Friday and Sunday.
