Tornadoes and Severe Storms Wreak Havoc in Delaware and Surrounding States.

A severe weather system, including a tornado, caused damage throughout Delaware on Saturday. One man died in Sussex County, and preliminary assessments found at least two to three dozen homes impacted. Utility companies received reports of power outages throughout the state, with Delmarva Power reporting 21,000 customers impacted and Delaware Electric Cooperative reporting more than 4,000 members lost power. Emergency response teams are assessing the damage, and those in need of assistance can contact the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services call center or the American Red Cross.
