Tornadoes wreak havoc across South, Midwest, and beyond.

Tornadoes swept through the South and Midwest, killing at least five people and injuring dozens more. More than 50 preliminary tornado reports were made in at least six states, with Arkansas being hit the hardest. The severe weather caused damage to homes, businesses, and critical infrastructure, leaving nearly 300,000 homes and businesses without power. The threat of more severe weather looms into Saturday afternoon, with scattered strong to severe thunderstorms expected in parts of the Ohio Valley, the Northeast, and the Southeast.
