Typhoon Mawar, a Category 4 storm, threatens Guam with deadly winds, storm surge, and heavy rainfall. The storm could be the strongest to hit the US territory since at least 1976. Guam's governor has ordered the evacuation of low-lying coastal areas in anticipation of high storm surge and potentially catastrophic coastal flooding.
